Terms of Service
Publishing note: fill the bracketed details and have a lawyer review the liability, governing-law, and dispute clauses. For App Store distribution you may adopt Apple’s standard EULA, but keep the UGC/anti-abuse and age terms below.
These Terms govern your use of Arcus Habits (the “Service”), operated by RX Studios (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility & age
You must be at least 16 years old to use Arcus Habits. By using the Service you represent that you are 16 or older. We enforce an age gate and will terminate accounts we believe belong to under-age users.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may sign in with email/password, Apple, or Google. Tell us immediately at support@arcushabits.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, captions, and comments you post (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service (for example, showing your proof photo to members of your circles). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for routine backups purged on our normal cycle, and except where retention is legally required.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the rights to Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break the law.
4. Acceptable use & zero tolerance for objectionable content
Arcus Habits has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree not to post or do any of the following, and we may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that do:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech;
- Sexual content, nudity, or any content that sexualises minors (we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities);
- Violence, promotion of self-harm, or dangerous activities;
- Illegal content or activity, or impersonation of others;
- Spam, scams, or attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- Uploading anyone else’s photo as your own proof, or otherwise deceiving the verification system.

5. Reporting, blocking & moderation
You can report any photo, comment, or user, and block any user, from within the app. We review reports and act on violations, which may include removing content, warning, suspending, or terminating accounts. We aim to review reports promptly. Contact support@arcushabits.com; for child-safety or urgent harm, email safety@arcushabits.com and your local authorities.
6. Copyright / DMCA
If you believe content infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@arcushabits.comwith the information required by law (identification of the work and the infringing material, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and your signature). We remove infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if you break these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or others.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
9. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, where RX Studios is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of South Africa, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
